[SCREAMING] Oh God. It's been a few years since I did one of these. This year started pretty well with a family trip to Rome. I mean literally, we were on a flight going over the Atlantic at local midnight on January 1. It was a fun trip! My previous employer, the discount retailer Tuesday Morning, met their final death. I was laid off in February, then brought back on in March to be part of the skeleton crew during bankruptcy proceedings, then laid off again at the end of April when they converted to chapter 7 bankruptcy. Fortunately I used the stable time I had to find a new job, and started it right after my birthday in May. No I'm not going to tell you who my new employer is. I'm still kind of amazed that they brought me on as a "senior" systems analyst. I mean sure I've been in the professional world for almost 20 years now, but I've had to restart my career from nothing 6 times over that period. Strictly speaking I'm still entry level.
